From all walks of life they come, From sea to shining sea. They volunteer to go in harms way To protect you and me. These valiant men and women Leave homes and loved ones, too, To serve this country selflessly. They’re heroes through and through They march straight into battle On ground or sea or air. They steadfastly serve the USA; A pride they all do share. For each and every minute They protect our freedom, yet How many times do we think to say “Thank you” to these brave vets?
