Tears to Sleep with
I go to sleep With tears in my eyes I refuse to utter my cries You spoke as if You never knew me Telling me how things should be Forgetting the basement Where love was longed for With great lament Love’s shut the door You think that I can not be Loving you and her there Honey, that is how much I care But you think that I am Less than I was then When our love was such a sin So my dear from my basement You should know That love is true and will always grow So just keep bringing the tears I still be standing by your side Praying all the troubles by
