Heaven, Earth and Sky
A Love Poem

I made love to
Heaven, Earth and Sky -
So much more beautiful than I.

Sweet smelling Earth, after rain,
Tinged with sunrise pink again.
Heaven’s delicate hues,
Filling the sky with pastel blues.

The bright morning shone
In our eyes ~
Fresh air in lungs:
We kissed,
We smiled ~
We spoke in tongues.

Our blood co-mingled with shining dew
Nature was my lover true.
And she, with sighs,
Breezed fretworks of leaves ~
To color the trees,
~ Prettily patterned ~
On innocent skies.

Where Earth touched Sky
There moved a mist.
We waited –
Breath bated,
And watched Love give birth
To Spring. . !

Delighted, we laughed,
And made a ring.

Then, married in love,
We knew
We wanted to fly ~
So we did,
- Heaven – Earth – Sky -
- And I.
