The Pumpernickel and the Pickle
A rhyming poem - a love story about a tattooed guy and a sandwich girl.

The bread is pumpernickel with a long green pickle –
And the girl at the deli just left me her cell.
With her eyes opened wide, I really could tell,
She wasn’t turned off by this tattooed rebel.

A smile that could launch a thousand ships,
And shapely jeans that barely cover her hips,
With eyes so gorgeous and luscious red lips,
She can’t wait to be touched by one of my slips…

The bread contains fixings of appropriate measure,
And the pickle has a delicious, smooth texture.
With the scent of her skin and radiant aperture,
These flavors join in her beauteous rapture.

A dream to celebrate, this glorious summer,
Being in love with this girl, not a bummer –
Both riding high, rocking out like the drummer,
This tattooed guy and his lady, the hummer!
