ROCKS
...more than mere gravel?

Silent on the ground, ignoble yet profound…
pristine setting --- a new rock for my collection.
I wonder of its travels, as now it’s merely gravel.

Rolling it around in my hand,
touching worn and rough edges I wonder…

It glistens with sparkling specks.
Precious to me, I gently place it on the dirt
under one of my premium potted plants.
