I Had the Floor
Gazing back upon the gore, time past beyond, bizarre. A simple short, infinite fray, it’s gone my soul, the light There’s one nearby, the grand tzar. His laugh, it scalds, a frozen snore, it leaves me burnt with tender scar. Yet it stays, my will, my fight. Offered now the open door, I see it there, through mist of tar. But I want a chance, my say, a settled score, let me up to speak I pray. And I’m given the floor, yet have nothing to say John 01/2010
