Frozen Eden

Frozen inlet calls out to me;
a haven of nature’s beauty awaits,
worries dissipate in the icy wonderland.
Earth’s promises are all I see. . .

Sea of powdered whiteness surrounds.
Trees stand guard, protecting body and soul,
brittle limbs, weapons whipping in the gentle breeze.
Silent mind welcomes winter’s sounds.

Sounds of comfort whisper God’s songs.
Dance on virgin snow, find freedom in peace,
reach toward endless clouds as grace overtakes spirit.
All is now right, release the wrongs.

Wrongs pass in this place you’ve chosen,
replaced with freedom and serenity.
Senses embrace the gifts given so publicly -
isolated, genial, frozen.





Form: RemyLa Rhyme
The RemyLa Rhyme Form, a form created by Laura Lamarca, consists of 4 stanzas. 
Each stanza has four lines.  The syllable count per stanza is 8/10/12/8 and rhyme scheme
is abca defd ghig jklj.  The first word of stanza 1 must also be the last word of stanza 4. 
The last word of stanza 1 must also be the first word of stanza 2 and the last word of stanza
2 must be the first word of stanza 3.  Finally, the last word of stanza 3 must also be the first
word of stanza 4.
