Untitled (Chapter 7) WIP

Sara walked into the CID office and looked around for DS Lynch or DI Firth. ‘Sir.’ She said spotting DS Lynch.
‘WDC Jones.’ He replied acknowledging her presence. ‘How is James?’ He asked gesturing her to come and sit at his desk.
‘He’s unconscious and they are running tests on him to find out what is wrong. He is not allowed any visitors, except family at the moment, but they will contact us when we are able to visit. They asked if we had contacted his relatives.’
‘We did they are on their way to the hospital now. We offered them a lift but they said they’d make their own way.’
For some reason the answer felt strange to Sara. Most people who had just received this kind of information would have accepted the lift.

The light started to fade and it became hard to see anything in the park. No clues had been found and if it was the man who had escaped custody then time was running out for the missing girl.
