The raindrops played a merry waltz splashing on the ground. In falsetto notes crickets chirped in answer to the sound. The thunder rumbled baritone. Lightning backlit the scene, and fireflies dotted emphasis while dancing like colleens. I listened to the musicale outside my window sill; a symphony of nature’s choice playing its tunes at will. After a while I fell asleep and peacefully I slept while in the dark an opus played as heavy rain clouds wept. This is my entry for Week 1 in the January round of Defining Poetry Contest. The selected poet for this week was William Wordsworth. His poem that I felt most influenced me was "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud".
