Time passes by
Winter passes into spring The snowy banks will pass The daffodils will spring again The cold shall slowly subside As robin’s song chirps nearby and romance flies with butterflies Spring mild ways will soon give way To Summer’s fiery grasp The nights of lightning bugs Of Whip-poor-wills came back Long days of play and heat Of family and front porch chats School starts up again The heat wave fades away Chill mornings dawn foggy Apples grow red and ruddy Harvest is put away The cool air grows cold and bright And the world readies itself For Winter to come again. 20 lines
