Journey of Light

Watching for the dawn,
I look outside and smile.

The stars shine brightly
as the birds arise from sleep.

The sky changes colors
from black and blue to orange.

I see the sun through the window
and smile at its blinding light.

Closing my eyes, I feel
the warm rays on my face.

Come and sit with me,
I gesture to the friendly warmth.

As if nodding with approval,
it turns my way and lights up.

I came for inspiration, I say,
the birds twitter with delight.

The nature listens,
I am going with you today.

It bends its path and
walks with me

as I walk towards
the journey of light.
