My entry: Karis Romantic Poetry Contest

"I love you," he grunts,
Hands slipping, he scrabbles at my hips.
I just smile in reply,
As we complete the dance of lust and love.
I sway forward, he sways back
And for him, we are joined for an eternity
Embedded in a blink.
You see, they all love me.

I awaken that long buried desire,
Fire up the passion that once burned
With the intensity of youth,
But now lays dormant under the sands of time.
It all starts with a glance,
The innocent brush of skin on skin,
And soon their hooked, because
You see, they all love me.

It's not long before the glances are stares,
And the hand lingers above the knee,
Late nights working over last minute matters.
Oh the energy that pours off them then,
That glorious mix of love and lust
All culminating in this, one last moment
As they strive to reach eternal bliss one last time.
You see, they all love me.

I give them that last little gift,
That overwhelming joy of passion,
The heady mix of lust and love.
And in return they love me for it,
That impure love that only humans can achieve.
The kind that feeds my life, even as it snuffs theirs.
You see, they all love me.
