Form: Archimedes Pi Form Line 1 - 3 words Line 2 - 1 word- Line 3 - 4 words Line 4 - 2 words Line 5 - 8 words Line 6 - 6 words Note: It is truly amazing what you can find on the poetry pages of Jan Haag. In a small note under one of her poems stood the description of the Archimedes' Pi: I quote: “PI = 3.14286 -- Archimedes' estimate from the OED (1841), p. 813” ![]() Sleep sweetly maiden fair at rest this morn on yon soft chair. Dreaming dreams of a handsome prince in gentle respite, rest ye hence. In innocence ye there do lie, while all the world is passing by. Thy beauty fair amid peach folds emanates like rays of gold. Rest ye now, peaceful and in thy sleep fairies dance round ye keeping vigil against morning’s sun. Rest, my child til slumber’s done.
