The Saga of the Sea
Contest Entry for January Stories of the Sea

The saga of the sea,
A tale as old as day.
It mesmerizes me;
Captivated by its spray.

With lyrics seldom heard
It beckons with no voice
No mouth to form its words
I wonder why the choice.

Its breakers ebb and flow
O’er sand upon the shore.
The waves race to and fro.
They chase forevermore.

Ceaselessly in motion,
As was God’s perfect plan;
The ever changing ocean;
A mystery to man.
