A kelpie is beautiful, yes,
But travelers should take heed. This horsey's never one to tame Nor to ever call your steed. For beneath his glistening coat Lies a stomach full of bones Picked as bare as his cold, black heart, Filled with adventurers' moans. Now see his glimmering green eyes - So intelligent and sure! - They glow like lanterns in the dark To lead you into the moor. Let's open up the kelpie's mouth, Although it's shocking to see, Dripping teeth of a sanguine-red Stained by atrocities. Now take apart the creature's skull, In his pulsing brain you'll find Numerous thoughts malevolent - But only a few benign. The kelpie is a dazzling beast; To the river he will lure. He'd love to watch your entrails float - A delightful sight, for sure. Graceful words won't sway this monster, Nor will arguments or pleas, And so I warn you once again, Cautious traveler: take heed!
