"Yes, I will stay and help you",she said, as she looked at her father. Her father looking back at her in a doubtful gaze. "Are you sure?" he said, "You are going to be able to drop everything and just stay here to help me?" "Well, I have to take a leave from work, but that shouldn't be a problem. she said as she thought about how she decided to move back to her home state to spend time with her parents. Her mother died before she could come back. Her father really needed her there to help fill that gap. She hadn't spent more than a week at a time with her parents since she moved across the US 25 years before. Since she was divorced she thought she had better do it now while everyone (so she thought) was still healthy. She was the only single member of the family that could move in with Dad to help him. Dad had a quadruple bypass a few years before and he shattered his ankle a year before that. So he was getting around real well. Now, he has diabetes and his legs are giving him trouble. He now walks with a walker. His left thigh is painful all the time, some times worse than others. He just suffers with the pain, Dad was never one to take a bunch of unnecessary pills. Its bad enough he has to have heart medication and diabetes medication everyday.
