It formed in the depths, and from the deep stormed, Seeking the light opening to the height; Lost in tunnels, of slate, under the weight Of years, of digging, held by poor rigging. The rumble shook the walls starting the calls From the pit of dark hidden by the arc. The shaking supports gave way to breaking; Tunnels collapsed as time folded and lapsed, Until the motion moved that trapped below. The winds in the tunnel formed a funnel Forcing the night’s breath out into the lights, Expelled like toothpaste from a tube in haste. The scream reached my lips collapsing the dream; I woke covered in the dust of the gust.
