The Move
When a friend moved away(very unstructured piece, more random thoughts than actual poetry)

I’ve suffered loss before.
I’ve said goodbye to friends.
I thought that I could handle this,

But, the tears still come.

I know it's best for you.
You’re only hours away.
I’ll be okay right here.

But, my heart still aches.

When did you become such a crucial part of my life?
How did you go from casual friend to treasured sister?
Why does it hurt so much to pretend it doesn’t hurt?

What do I say to you as you go
To let you know….

I already miss you.
