THE NATURE OF LIFE When life is unpredictable -- with dry spells and passionate seasons of diversity running hot and steamy, then bone-chilling cold -- find comfort in the calm steady rain; then firmly press through the violence of each relentless thunderstorm. All the while, hold on for the ride of your life -- enjoying both the tranquility of the ferris wheel and the thrills of a roller-coaster ride gone wild. For life is ever changing, easily expressed by a defiant toddler or the fragile innocense of a sleeping newborn. ------------------------ Poetic Devices 201 – Lesson 5 – Conotation and Denotation used here with clear comparisons: life to weather, an amusement park, a child.
