A giant clam laid asleep deep in the past, And within its mantle's folds grew the pearl, A gem bluish-black with wings on it back. The clam harvested, and thrown on its back, Cracked releasing the future form the past, And the future flew on wings of black pearl. Life, born of death, gave its breath to the pearl Releasing it from the depths of the past, And the darkness with wings never looked back. The past now sits to the pearl raven’s back.
