Sunrise
a poem for the morning

Morning dawn has unleashed its might
Dew glistens like the teardrops of night
The sky has become a colored bouquet
The cascading light empowers the day

Purples, lavenders, shades of blues
Greens, yellows, reds, many to choose
A kaleidoscope explodes in the sky
God’s grace delivered, to the world on high

Life has awakened in dawn’s glow
The circle begins, ebb and flow
Earth’s creatures rejoice at the coming light
A glorious bounty overtakes their sight

A triumph bestowed, heaven’s grace
Feeling his majestic embrace
Each day begins like an answered prayer
Beholding God’s love, his beauty to share

Respect the bounty that he gave
Our souls we offer him to save
Enlightened by the gifts, this morning brings
Lets mankind run free on the new days wings

Salvation waits if you believe
A test of faith you will receive
Step back a minute and you’ll realize
Each morning brings redemption in disguise
