Black muslin bitter truths,
mesh with lies of white silk. Far too many since our youth, weave a heavy crazy quilt. While the sands are sifting quick, we no longer seem to care. Life's become one big parlor trick, while sitting in a grey easy chair. Looking out of tinted windows, thinking back to the lost days, while the pile of regret grows, we hide among the cozy greys. It's seldom we find life's balance. as another day turns into night, behind curtains on the valance, of consequencial black and white. Kimarie Manhart-Freeman
