I want a Charlie Brown Whose outlook on like is never down. He always sees the good in man Spreading good around the land. He always has a serious frown Coming from years of getting beaned on the baseball mound He is not handsome or tall. But loyalty is his call. He has a sweetness that never wavers Even though his feelings sometimes ache to be savored. Oh, How I wish for Charlie Brown. Where love can make my heart forever pound. ©Copyright August 2006
