A Cold Recovery
Recovering from an unwanted permanent separation of someone you're emotionally attached to

A wave of warm memories swept away,
lost in an internal bliss far passed the sunset where warmth once lay.

Followed by drifting thoughts beneath the ocean floor,
pulled by a current heading towards the arctic far away to a foreign shore.

Where blood turns cold and hearts grow weak,
as though ones emotions seem to have already hit its peak.

A tip so high, a drop so low,
leaving one lonesome and stranded, wandering to and fro.

Now that the temperature is bleak, making it nearly impossible to speak,
for the numbing has begun and the recovery not that much fun.

So in between the trenches, dark caves, and coral galore,
lead an unforgettable journey to Antarctica and much, much more.
