Write a story or poem about Chinese New Year. This is the year of the tiger! TIGERS RULE?!?! --Calvin's plea to be in the running as mascot for the Chinese New Years Celebration! I really think I qualify-- I'm a big cat, stripe-ed and sly; my stripes are gray and soft and sleek, not orange and rough--just take a peek! I'd like the jungle! Think it's tough! Know I can growl, real loud and gruff! I'm a big softie, but play hard-- (I've never been out in my yard!) You say this year it's THE TIGER?? Think I can do that, that's for sure!! Chinese New Year--a fun party--, I'm ready for it, won't be tardy! I'm just a housecat, but I know I'm beautiful; my bravery shows! I'll outshine those Olympics-- just leave me all the specifics! So. vote for Calvin--I'm your man! I'll do the job like no one can. I am the largest in my pride; if only I could go outside!!
