2. The wood chipper jammed. Fresh limbs will sometimes do that.

3. Mary loved the quiet, shady spot. So did the tarantulas.

4. The hungry bear surprised Malcolm. It finished both his sisters.

5. Swinging reminded her of childhood. Mother had hanged herself too.

6. Charlie was grandma’s favorite. The other grandchildren were slightly undercooked.

7. Rex had fleas. Ellen thought the escargots were much better.

8. John suspected Alice poisoned his coffee. It was his tea.

9. Rattlesnakes hate the cold. They loved Billy’s warm sleeping bag.

10. Death was quick and painless. Henry promised he’d practice more.
