While I do not liken myself to this majestic bird, I see them often near my house and on my travels to and fro. This prompted me to write the poem about them.........

By day I fly,
rise through the sky
seeking out my prey.

I’m strong and fast
And unsurpassed.
Hunger to allay!

With my hooked beak
and taloned feet,
strength I do convey.

My keen eyesight
at greatest heights
shows nature’s buffet.

A carnivore
on wings I soar
hunting every day.

Aggressive bird!
My cry is heard
near and far away.

I am the hawk
and I will stalk.
Majestic display!
