Silence in darkness
Eyes full of fear, forever kept in my hands.

These frail hands
O, they feel so silent -

And the disquieting hunger
Within these shivering eyes

A word, a touch
The warm, dull smell of hair,

The pursed pink lips;
Her hands rock shut like frozen flowers
Full of fear.
