Reverie

Lazy, lolling lullabies
Threatening to close my eyes
Underneath the rolling skies,
A dream my mind is bearing.
In my spirit start to rise
All friends that I realize
Were young & chic, some smart & wise,
Some all the while were caring.

Ask me not why I'm harrassed
When my countenance aghast
And my circumstance contrast -
These thoughts are not for sharing.
Recollection of the past -
Until the grave takes me at last,
Desperately I cling steadfast
The dead skins I am wearing.
