Written for Week Two Fishin' Inspiration Contest

The PROMPTS!
Now, it’s time to go fishin’ for inspira-shin’!
Each month will have a new prompt posted on the 15th. This prompt may be an image, a quote, a set of words to include in the poem, a title that will be required, or a form. Let the current prompt inspire you to write your poem, post that poem to your portfolio, and post a message in the forum below with a bitem link to that poem. As stated in the rules, you may edit your entry until the round closes at midnight WdC time on the 15th of that month when the round closes.

Gazing from my window way up high
I see people in a hurry
as they quickly pass me by.
They don’t know I watch them.
I could be a spy
looking from my
glassy spot
in the
sky!

They hustle and they bustle rushing
everywhere. From here they look like
ants, as they scurry way down
there! Sometimes they ride bikes,
sometimes they take cars;
others may walk
but, I see
where they
are!

In my tower, I’m a prisoner,
confined, lonely; just a voyeur
living vicariously.
Watching, ever wishing,
I could come and go.
Free from this bed
I will not
rise, I
know.
