COUNT: 14
Let’s slip away from the awful news we’re hearing on the television, and remember that today is International Polar Bear Day. Surely there’s a story in that. Today’s prompt is: Write about a polar bear. MUSINGS OF A TRAVELING POLAR BEAR I came down HERE to get away from the COLD?? I came down south and hoped to see grass growing on the ground-- but then I saw, to my disgust, white snowdrifts all around! I came down for that warm climate the south is famous for but when I went to check it out, the snow had blocked the door! I know I'm just a polar bear; not welcome in your south-- before you start to fuss at me, you'd better watch your mouth! I paid good fish to stow away in that cold rail car; it's not much warmer here than there; should have not come so far! I came for warmth but instead found snow right up to my ears! I want to go back home to pout and thaw out my cold tears! Please send that rail car right back because I want to go back up with my bear friends where we'll ANTICIPATE the snow!
