I fall asleep
With earplugs in
To keep the thoughts from pouring in
I expelled you
But thoughts of you surround me

I make it so
For waking up
To quell the angst from mounting up
I sunk us down
But what can cure a phantom pain

I split my sides
In telling lies
To pause the pilfer of my mind
I burned it all
But nothing makes a mad soul sleep

I wait all night
Alas, moonshine
To light with white all that is bronze
I copped a gun
But nettled men don’t part like flowers
