Title - Fun House Mirrors
Genre - Mainstream (can be disturbing)

Character Sketch:

Rachel - Main character. Rachel is a woman in her mid forties, dealing with mental and physical illness. She has long, dark hair with a face weathered by abuse and age. Rachel learns to deal with the demons and voices in her head as she struggles to go through daily life.

Carol - Rachel's therapist and confidant.

Michael - a sweet-natured, sensitive man in love and living with Rachel, he struggles to try and understand what she is going through and how he can help make things easier for her.

Rachel's mother - an abusive, alcoholic single parent who left Rachel struggling to make sense of her childhood.

Rachel's aunt - Rachel's saving grace, her aunt has been there for her through most of her teenage and adult life. Whenever Rachel is in crisis, her aunt trys to help her through it.


Plot:

Based on truth, Rachel struggles to come to grips with her mental illnesses. In and out of crisis, she fights for her sanity and her life. With the help of Carol, Rachel starts to put the pieces of her life together and put the voices in her head to rest. She is conflicted between her life before her mental illness and what she has to face now.
