The Foot Of The Cross
I can't put into words his love.

I can't put into words his love,
this man who walked upon the sea.
and placed child-like hearts above,
his comforts and earthly family.

He speaks with the Creator of All,
so that we fail not, he intercedes.
Hearing prayers, no matter how small,
he loved me first before I believed.

Before I have uttered a single word,
he hears my prayers from deep within.
His blood allows me to be heard,
before God's throne and angels therein.

I am not alone in worshiping him.
My sins are not the first he's washed.
The life I craved has grown very dim,
as I leave it at the foot of the cross.
