IT'S TIME FOR SPRING!

The winter months have been long and hard, with snow piling deep.
The calendar says Spring is here and I will be losing an hour's sleep.
I forgot to change the time since my chilled brain needed to defrost,
Mother Nature has been laughing loud, I feel time-warped and lost!

Oh, give me once again the sound of the birds at morning's hour!
Give me sunshine and green grass and the promise of a flower!
I can endure the muddy dirt roads that take me down to the city,
as long as I can see buds on the trees and a blue sky so pretty.

Let me see again the signs of life renewing the season of my birth,
and to breathe once more the fresh air of Spring, for all its worth.
The birds return and the fawn takes first steps into this old world,
too long it waited to be born and by it's mother's side lay curled.

Each of the seasons has a beauty with which we are truly blessed,
God gives us time here on earth to renew our soul and yes, to rest.
Spring is truly an awakening, for spirit and for love to fill the air,
Oh, yes - IT'S TIME FOR SPRING and for its wonders everywhere!
