They’ve marched off to war. They’ve served with great pride. They gave us their service, and some of them died. No matter the time, no matter the place These brave soldiers were there, ready to face The hardship of war. In khaki or green, in white or in blue Brave men and women left to defend you. For love of country, they’ll always prevail. Our military, will march into Hell; They’ve done it before. Thank God, for these men, and these women, too, Dedicated to country with honor so true. Courageous and bold, they give us their all In far-away lands, and strange ports of call. They’re brave to the core. Nation’s defenders; Noble knights armored bright; They’re ready by day and ready by night. Fighting for freedom, none question why, They preserve our homeland; may our banner fly Above evermore! 20 lines
