Orphan Thoughts
"Even should she forget, I will never forget you." Isaiah 49:15

This item has no ratings.
I should be grateful
When you
Pass me by
Like an angel of Death-
I’m safe.
But mother hunger gnaws
Behind the mark that saves me
And the distance between us
Is a desert.

I reach for a hand that is not there,
And thirst.
