Bells of Elegance
A "Pantoum" poem

A "Pantoum" poetry entry for the Paper Doll Gang Newbie/Mentor Poetry Contest

Snow is gone, warmth emits,
Anticipation of spring and rejuvenation fills the air.
New leafy shoots protrude, extending to grasp the sun
"May Bells" of white, an affirmation of truth.

Anticipation of spring and rejuvenation fills the air.
Sweetly scented tepals swing lackadaisical from stems
"May Bells" of white, an affirmation of truth.
Lily of the Valley returns, a cyclical promise from the depths of its underground colony.

As an aside:
A tepal is "one of the divisions of a flower perianth, esp. one that is not clearly differentiated into petals and sepals, as in lilies and tulips."
