At the edge of the ocean
a whole world in a grain of sand.

At the edge of the ocean

A wonder world reveals itself to me
as I wander along the edge of the sea.
The shaped seashells of surprising beauty
tell me of the hidden talent of sea life.

At Kanyakumari, the southern most tip of
the Indian shores, where land meets the wide
blue sea, grains of sand shine like sundry colored
sequins stitched with singular skill  into the surface

of our Planet. The mountains afar find their feet
firmly implanted into the opening of the bay.
The soothing salty sea with is eternal lapping at
the rocky ranges of granite, implores for a let in.

At the edge of the ocean where Earth and Water join,
I see the blue Sky, the Sun's Fire, and the cool Wind
blowing from all directions, a harmonious flow
of life-creating elements filling me with blissful joy.
