Dear Dad,
I'm late again as usual. I forgot that the time was drawing near. I am sorry Dad for forgetting about you. I love you so much and will always love you. There isn't anything you wouldn't have done for me. I know that to be so true. I hope that you are happy now in Heaven with the Lord. You know after you passed away I wasn't able to cry and still haven't today been able. I don't know what it is wrong with me. But I don't like it that way. I remember the many times I cried over Mom. I was worried about Mom having shoes on her feet when she passed away. I learned that it was probably not the case nor for you either. It was for the purpose of meeting the Lord that I was concerned. I know that it isn't the important thing to be concerned. You know the Christmases we used to have? Well, it was you for the longest time to putting up the tree. Then I came along and put them up for us too. I learned what I knew from watching you do it. That is why the trees always looked the way they did for you taught me how. There was a time when I would do this and that to make the years seem better for us at Christtmas time. Like making you a wreath and giving it to you one Christmas. I dont' know if you remember that or not. I am sure that you do though. For now you are as smart as God in His beautiful world. I liked the time we went fishing together on the Carolina Princess. It was such a beautiful day out and we had a blast. Through the use of the concession stand man I was able to catch eighteen pounds of fish that day. These memories are mine now to remember and enjoy. I know I enjoyed my time with you when we went bowling. They were the good old days for me. You know I followed right on through the book on bowling and people were starting to notice me. There again you helped me to learn how to bowl. I was so proud of you when you make the strikes you did. I hope you heard the poem i did for you for your funeral. I don't know what I did say altogether but it was an Ode to Dad. I loved writing poetry about you Dad. I never more proud of you when you joined WDC. Your port has remained in tact. You have a white breifcase now and it is all there. Thank you for allowing me to ghost write for you. I think that was the greatest thing I had ever done. It meant something to me then and also now. It was your work but I typed it for you. I know that you know that. How wonderful you are Dad. Your stories you used to tell. The ones we came up with in the port was something else. I hope that you have seen Mom by this time. And that you both remember the lives you lived here on earth. It is hoped that you are praying for Ervin and myself. That your prayers are going to God's ears. And that He is answering them for I know I have been spared many times since I have been here at the Heritage. So, i ask you to keep on praying for me and also Ervin as well. Thank you for letting me talk to you this time, Dad. I love you now and always will love you.
