When you’ve reached the edge of insanity,
Disgusted with all of humanity, Downtrodden by all mankind’s vanity, Where do you turn? When total chaos around you abounds And peace is nowhere on earth to be found; It seems that things all about you confound; Where do you turn? When you aren’t allowed publicly to pray, When you feel that your life’s in disarray, When you are miserable every day, Where do you turn? When you are aghast at all that you see And you’re appalled by what’s on your TV; When you’re sickened by this social debris, Where do you turn? When governments are beginning to fail And are consumed with red tape and detail, When laws passed are just to their own avail, Where do you turn? When the drug culture’s invaded the land, school shootings have become almost offhand, and our protection we’re forced to expand, Where do you turn? When apathy becomes more than the norm And there’s only rhetoric of reform When you aren’t sure you can weather the storm, Where do you turn?
