Making Love in April Rain
Rain washes it all away.

The way your fingers felt as they glided
Over the goose bumps on my naked arms:
Ineffable. I tried to grasp the air,
Anything, to keep me steady
As your body crashed into mine –
Sending one thousand glimmering raindrops
Through a vast nothingness until
They exploded upon impact with Earth,
The same way you exploded inside me.
Where our bare feet met the concrete –
Where we stood in concrete puddles
As all sounds of our pleasure were carried
Around the world by ever-changing winds.
