"The New Earth"
There within a dream I see A Garden of Eden Being the ever green earth The rose of Sharon Covering the valley of hills God’s gift to man - His voice a warning sign Love the earth That you may live in peace Without the wars Blasting the atom bombs Dust to fragments The petrified trees to stone Dark the sun - The earth bubbling to death Steaming in the clouds Never more for man to live And plough the fields Sowing seeds to feed a nation - Where to now To hang my head and cry Seeing the willow Buried in the river dry The thirst in me My epitaph to die alone - A soul searching Sailing with the wind Will the sun rise And celebrate our planet Once so green - God’s own Garden of Eden Shining brightly Below the dome of the moon Where heaven waits The new Earth forever more.
