The One That Got Away
Mr. Bug fought long and gallantly, To free himself from Ms. Spider's web. I watched out my window and saw, Mr. Bug was sure footed and tenacious, As he managed, one thread at a time, To work his way to the bottom. He hopped to the ledge and freedom. Away he went, was nowhere to be found. Ms. Spider returned from a hard day's labor, Only to find to her disappointment and dismay, Her web was without fresh morsels, For her empty and aching stomach. There was no bug for her supper. She went to bed hungry that night.
