Spring is Here!

I chose to use the "acrostic" form inspired by the picture prompt.

Put me down for 2:00 p.m.
Emergency! Not just a whim.
Didn’t think I would care to
Invest my money in a pair of
Cute new sandals for my feet
Until my funky paws were neat,
Repaired and polished, looking fine--
Excuse me while I pause to whine!
Spring is here!
