Beyond lightning -
Have I not lips to kiss And a heart to love With eyes to see Weeping away Soul's sorrow, Struck by lightning A red-toothed dare To wake the night My sweet sad sin The devils delight. A broken heart I cannot hear Heavens call God in mercy Why not me, Wearied now A sense of guilt Fierce the pain A poppy seed Too old to try. White lilies For a grave The wreath My pillow In the mist, The breeze So cold In a cave The stone Rolled away - A vision in white His hands to hold Alive to rise again Beyond lighting Christ my Savior. "You are my child From the garden Saved from sin Your devil burning Struck by lightning."
