Where are You?
A question that single people ask into the wind. Inspired by one tiny picture.

Where are you?
Will I ever find your lasting embrace?
Will I ever wake in your arms
or will it forever be
only my blankets tightly wound?

Will I forever perform this solo dance,
or will your soul pair mine in melody?

Will I ever hear
the rhythm of your beating heart,
tender tone of your voice,
or your name upon my lips?

Will my eyes
ever perceive your face
or only empty space?
Shall we ever share a gaze?

Shall we ever sit side by side
watching as Sun kisses Earth
granting her a starry night?

Will I ever idle away the time
happily because you're near?

Here I sit wondering where you are.
Do you sit pondering if I am somewhere too?
