Your voice filled my mind.
Your beauty consumed me heart and soul.

No beauty tempted me until my eyes fell upon you,
the most beautiful flower that ever bloomed in any garden.
I tried to turn my head away when you looked so you would not see into my heart, to keep secret my soul,
but your soprano voice dissolved every sight and sound in creation until even God ceased to exist.
There was you, ecstasy and I.
I moaned when the song ended and your eyes lowered.
I snapped awake and darted looks all around to see if anyone noticed.
Choristers surrounded you with congratulations on your astounding performance but your eyes remained downcast;
your modesty becomes you.
