~Golden Days~ Memories of golden days, calling out in many ways. Youth's optimistic yearning, spent seeking, hoping, grasping! Fading, now, in shades of grays. Memories as I look back, drifting fast, begin to crack. Life's song, now, sadly ending, spent bending, stooping, dying! Fading, now, in shades of black. Featured in the May, 2010 WDC Poetry Newsletter. Written for the Football Field Week #1: Short Story Hall vs Poetry Hall Prompt: "Have the word 'golden' somewhere in the poem."
