~Golden Days~

Memories of golden days,
calling out in many ways.
Youth's optimistic yearning,
spent seeking, hoping, grasping!
Fading, now, in shades of grays.

Memories as I look back,
drifting fast, begin to crack.
Life's song, now, sadly ending,
spent bending, stooping, dying!
Fading, now, in shades of black.

Prompt: "Have the word 'golden' somewhere in the poem."
