After Dawn, I saw...

Few minutes after dawn,
and the glory of light rising on,
up there in the velvet sky.
And life begins in a rapid way,
I can see bodies moving on and on,
from my window, and I sigh.

For all that I could see,
something in this heart is to be,
and wisdom had failed me now,
alone, in the crowds is all I see.

Like an autistic savant,
that comprehends none but passion,
on the innocent face that of angels.
My mind stopped thinking,
all it sees is your face in the horizon,
skipping life and all its jungles.

For all that I could see,
something in this heart is to be,
and wisdom had failed me now,
alone, in the crowds is all I see.
